George Orwell's 1984
Book jacket
1984, a dystopian novel by George Orwell. My concept for the jacket was to take the paradox of the Ministry of Love, which uses torture and fear to instill love of Big Brother.
The challenge for this project was to come up with a completely unexpected design for a book that has had many cover designs. One of the ways to overcome that challenge was to use the color purple when most 1984 covers incorporate red as the dominating color.
